At Modernizing Medicine, we're on a mission to revolutionize healthcare by placing doctors and patients at the forefront of care. As a Patient Claims Specialist, you'll play a vital role in shaping a positive patient experience within our high-performing Revenue Cycle Management team.
Your Key Responsibilities:- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and resolving account-related issues.
- Initiate outbound calls to patients to understand and address any account/payment issues.
- Update patient account information and document calls into our Practice Management system.
- Participate in special projects to enhance our customer/patient-facing activities.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in healthcare administration or a related field.
- Basic understanding of medical billing claims submission processes and working with insurance carriers.
- Ability to manage 60+ inbound calls per day.
- Bilingual skills (Spanish & English) a plus.
- Proficient knowledge of business software applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on telephone interactions.
- Ability to learn new concepts and work effectively within a team.
