Front Office Representative

Job Summary:We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to provide exceptional patient service, manage front office operations, and maintain accurate records. If you have a passion for delivering outstanding customer service and are proficient in handling multiple tasks simultaneously, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:- Promptly greet and acknowledge patients, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment.
- Accurately collect and process patient demographic and insurance information, as well as collect co-payments and past-due account balances.
- Explain financial requirements to patients and respond to questions on billing and insurance matters.
- Responsible for accurately completing and interpreting insurance verification and benefits, notifying patients and physicians of network insurance coverage issues.
- Scans all new patient or updated patient information into the computer, including photo ID, insurance cards, referrals, and patient paperwork.
- Schedules follow-up appointments, reviews patient's insurance coverage, and notifies patients if service requires authorization or referral.
- Maintains general knowledge of insurance plans accepted by Southeast Orthopedic Specialists.
- Responsible for maintaining a secure and accurate cash drawer, daily balancing of cash drawer, and closing Batch.
- Maintains the strictest patient confidentiality and a clean and organized front office workspace.
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with physicians, clinical staff, and the public.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
