About the Role

Xpanse is seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Data Architect to join our team. As a key member of our data management team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data architecture and data modeling solutions that support our business intelligence and enterprise information management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Architecture and Modeling: Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models, and implement RDBMS, operational data store (ODS), data marts, and data lakes on target platforms (SQL/NoSQL).
  • Data Governance and Optimization: Oversee and govern data architecture and the optimization of data query performance via best practices.
  • Business Requirements Analysis: Analyze and translate business needs into long-term solution data models.
  • Data Strategy and Design: Implement business and IT data requirements through new data strategies and designs across all data platforms (relational, dimensional, and NoSQL) and data tools (reporting, visualization, analytics).
  • System Evaluation: Evaluate existing data systems.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with business, application/solution, and development team to create conceptual data models and data flows.
  • Best Practices and Standards: Develop best practices for data coding to ensure consistency within the system.
  • Data Modeling and Design Standards: Define and govern data modeling and design standards, tools, best practices, and related development for enterprise data models.
  • Infrastructure and Interfaces: Identify the architecture, infrastructure, and interfaces to data sources, tools supporting automated data loads, security concerns, analytic models, and data visualization.
  • Hands-on Modeling and Design: Hands-on modeling, design, configuration and installation across environment, performance tuning.
  • Project Management: Work proactively and independently to address project requirements and articulate issues/challenges to reduce project delivery risks.
  • Compliance and Attendance: Comply with all company policies and procedures, and maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Requirements
  • Strong Experience: Strong experience with data warehouse, data lake, and enterprise big data platforms in multi-data-center contexts required.
  • Development Skills: Strong experience in development of stored procedures, packages, triggers, SQL queries, reports, and scripts.
  • Metadata Management and Data Modeling: Good knowledge of metadata management, data modeling, and related tools (Erwin or ER Studio or others) required.
  • Communication and Presentation: Experience in communication, and presentation.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer/data science technical or related experience.
  • 8+ Years of Experience: 8+ years of hands-on relational, dimensional, and/or analytic experience (using RDBMS, dimensional, NoSQL data platform technologies, and ETL and data ingestion protocols).
