Our mission is to harness the potential of the private sector to eradicate extreme poverty and enhance shared prosperity on a sustainable planet.

The Trade and Supply Chain Department (CTS) is one of the key industry groups within the organization, providing both investment and advisory services to clients through a global network.

IFC's Trade Priorities Include:
(i) expanding investment and advisory solutions across all operational regions while ensuring robust profitability and developmental impact; (ii) cultivating new and existing client relationships to establish IFC as the preferred partner for significant clients; (iii) managing a portfolio of assets for optimal profitability and impact; (iv) supporting local enterprises while enhancing transparency and corporate governance; (v) stimulating foreign investment, including mobilizing B loans, parallel loans, and other capital mobilization methods; (vi) innovating and developing new financial solutions, products, and platforms; (vii) forming long-term partnerships with influential regional players; (viii) devising scalable and replicable client, sector, and country-level solutions; and (ix) leading thought and innovation in global products and client solutions.

Global trade serves as a catalyst for growth, job creation, poverty reduction, and enhanced economic opportunities. It plays a crucial role in integrating local enterprises within emerging markets and developing nations.

Financing trade is essential for the movement of goods throughout the supply chain and can significantly impact development in these regions.

The trade finance programs of IFC provide guarantees, risk-sharing facilities, loans, and various structured products to support trade in emerging markets.

Through these offerings,
IFC has assisted over 400 financial institutions and numerous underlying companies across more than 100 countries worldwide.

To date, IFC's Trade and Supply Chain Finance has facilitated over $200 billion in global trade, directly linked to the movement of specific goods across borders in emerging markets.

The Trade and Supply Chain Department oversees all trade finance-related products and programs, while also developing new offerings for the benefit of all IFC clients.

CTS has been implementing various trade finance and supply finance solutions, including structured trade and commodity finance, as part of IFC's comprehensive response to financial crises, initially focusing on critical commodities such as soft and energy commodities, providing financing along the value chains to traders, producers, processors, and buyers.

CTS offers exposure to a diverse range of financial products and programs, including partial guarantees, risk-sharing facilities, loans, warehouse financing, and other structured products to bolster trade in emerging markets.

Selected candidates will benefit from CTS's extensive network of Financial Institutions, including leading global banks and Corporates (IFC has supported over 400 financial institutions and thousands of underlying companies across more than 100 countries worldwide).
