Solar Project Management and Operations Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Project Management and Operations to lead our Residential Project Management and Design teams. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing solar projects in accordance with our Quality Deployment Process.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Set revenue objectives, standardize operational processes, and develop performance metrics aimed at enhancing efficiency and reducing schedule variations.
- Team Leadership: Lead Project Management and Design Teams in standardizing processes, improving efficiency, and minimizing risk company-wide.
- Project Oversight: Review the quarterly backlog report for accuracy and ensure that revenue goals are met.
- Metric Development: Develop and track metrics and KPIs to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Staffing and Development: Responsible for staffing of Project Management and Design departments, including hiring, corrective action, termination, and employee development.
- Training and Development: Provide training to fully utilize NetSuite and other systems, enhancing communication and results.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure safe, profitable, and high-quality project completion.
- Project Scope Management: Manage project scope, schedule, costs, and changes using best practices.
- Matrix Leadership: Influence and lead in a matrix environment to ensure successful project delivery.
- Project Coordination: Oversee project processes from start to finish, including design review, permitting, inspections, and scheduling.
- Client and Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Strategic Planning: Strong strategic planning skills with the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
- Team Management: Demonstrated experience in successfully managing a team of a minimum of 10 staff members.
- Senior Management: Minimum of 3-5 years in a senior management role with the ability to lead diverse teams and drive business results.
- Project Management: Demonstrated experience in concurrently managing at least two teams.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree, preferably in business, project management, construction management, or related field.
- Construction Experience: Must possess experience managing construction or related projects.
- Contract Management: Experience with construction contracts and managing subcontractors and general construction understanding.
- Project Metrics: Strong background in defining key project metrics for project status tracking and communication.
- Solar Knowledge: Must possess or have the ability to obtain an understanding of solar PV systems.
- Computer Skills: Strong computer skills and fluent navigation of multiple software programs, including Microsoft 365 Suite, Google Suite, Adobe Pro, Nitro Pro, and NetSuite.
- Certifications: Certified PMP preferred.
- Soft Skills: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task and set priorities. Excellent customer service skills, clear communication, and strong coordination skills.
