About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team at Apex Dermatology and Skin Surgery Center LLC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all functions of treasury management, including banking relationships, administration of users, bank reconciliations, and maintaining account balances.
  • Assist with audits, taxes, and compliance requirements.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
  • Payroll reconciliation, review, and entry into General Ledger system.
  • Reviews, processes, and posts accounts payable entries.
  • Maintain internal control policies and procedures.
  • Accounts Payable, coding, entry, and reconciliation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and legislation.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Experience with Sage ERP a plus.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, time management, and ability to meet deadlines a must.
  • Attention to detail with an ability to spot numerical errors.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to abide by ethical guidelines and policies, including strict adherence to confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines.
  • Understanding of business principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with financial and tax regulations.
  • Willingness to continue education and training relevant to the role.
