Regulatory Oversight:
Establish and uphold systems for Compliance Monitoring to guarantee that Emirates' airworthiness, maintenance, flight operations, and ground services adhere to the standards set by aviation authorities.
System Optimization:
Continuously refine Compliance Monitoring systems to surpass regulatory expectations and facilitate informed decision-making.
Approval Management:
Supervise all engineering-related regulatory approvals, including certifications and compliance activities, acting on behalf of Emirates in operational compliance matters.
Certification Oversight:
Manage engineering certifications and evaluate applications for Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Licenses and type ratings.
Regulatory Liaison:
Serve as the primary liaison for regulatory agencies, addressing compliance challenges and remaining informed on regulatory updates.
Contractor Management:
Evaluate and audit contractors and subcontractors to ensure adherence to Emirates' quality standards and develop corrective measures as necessary.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Examine data to uncover trends and risks arising from Compliance Team investigations, and communicate findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
Workforce Planning:
Ensure the Compliance Monitoring department is adequately staffed with qualified personnel.
Human Factors Initiatives:
Implement strategies to enhance human factors in engineering and foster a culture of accountability and excellence.
Team Leadership:
Direct and nurture the Compliance Monitoring team, ensuring they are equipped to conduct thorough investigations and uphold quality and safety standards.
Qualifications:
This position may be suitable for you if you possess:
- A degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Airline Management, or hold a Maintenance Engineer License or Commercial Pilot License, or have experience in quality/compliance within an airline or maintenance facility.
- Over 12 years of experience in Engineering/Maintenance or Commercial Aircraft Operations, including management of Quality Assurance (QA) and/or Safety Management, with at least 3 years in a senior management role focused on Safety and Compliance.
- A comprehensive understanding of regulatory frameworks and relevant regulations.
- Knowledge of Quality and Safety Management systems.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively across various divisions.
- Insight into Airline and Airport Management and the impact of QA on maintenance, engineering, operations, and ground handling success.
- Strong analytical and report writing skills.
