About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Safety Specialist at SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment. As a key member of our Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, guests, and animals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accident Investigations: Conduct thorough investigations into workplace accidents to determine root cause and recommend corrective actions.
  • EHS Inspections: Conduct regular inspections throughout the park to ensure compliance with SEA Safety policies, OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
  • Training and Development: Deliver EHS training presentations and evaluations to ensure employees have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their jobs safely.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the EHS team, other departments, and external partners to ensure effective communication and collaboration on EHS initiatives.
  • Project Support: Assist the Environmental team with projects and inspections as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of computers and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Certifications: Certified or able to become certified in Safety department training programs (Intelex). Ability to obtain SEA certification for Forklift, Aerial Lift, and DOT.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical aptitude, strong communication and organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks in a team environment, and ability to positively interact with guests and coworkers.
