Essential employees are defined as individuals whose job functions are critical to the ongoing operations of Berman and its subsidiaries. These employees are expected to report to work during business closures to fulfill operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a visible and professional presence while on duty and during patrols, engaging with guests and employees while possessing a comprehensive understanding of the property.
  • Safeguard the confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets; support all colleagues and treat them with dignity and respect, assisting the team in achieving common objectives and adhering to company standards.
  • Address all issues and complaints in a professional and composed manner during emergencies; respond to incidents, contact emergency medical services, or administer first aid/CPR as necessary, gather information, and complete incident reports.
  • Operate motor vehicles as required.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as assigned by supervisors.
  • Communicate with others using clear and professional language, and answer phones with appropriate etiquette.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of two years of security experience; prior experience in the hospitality industry is preferred.
  • For driving positions: must possess a valid Driver's License with at least one year of driving experience and a clean driving record.
  • Current CPR/First Aid/AED Certification is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work any shift as needed.
  • Licensing requirements may be subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Able to:
  • Work in various environments, including cold weather, rain, or heat.
  • Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds.
  • Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shifts.
  • Stand or walk on various surfaces for extended periods.
