We are in search of a Fire Safety Engineering Specialist to enhance our team. In this role, you will spearhead comprehensive fire safety consulting initiatives for a diverse range of clients, including commercial and institutional sectors.

As part of a global team engaged in complex projects, you will play a pivotal role in driving advancements in fire safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and collaborate on fire protection system designs and life safety consulting projects, coordinating with our design teams.
  • Conduct life safety assessments, producing reports that detail applicable codes, construction types, occupancy classifications, and exit strategies.
  • Oversee fire protection engineering projects, ensuring effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Engage with architects and engineers on fire code compliance and standards consulting.
  • Identify potential hazards and recommend mitigation strategies, materials, and equipment for fire protection and life safety.
  • Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation for fire protection engineering projects.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or a related ABET-accredited field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility to obtain one.
  • 5-10 years of experience in fire protection system design and building/fire code consultation.
  • Experience in developing contract documents for various fire alarm and suppression systems.
  • Proven track record throughout all project phases, from bidding to client management.
  • A passion for mentoring junior engineers to enhance team capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel for project site visits and client engagements.
  • Experience with federal government projects is advantageous.
