Job Summary

Best Employment SoluTions, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Federal Financial and Contract Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing federal financial programs and contracts, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management:

Develop and manage budgets for federal programs and projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with budgetary constraints. Monitor expenditures and prepare financial reports, conducting financial forecasting and risk assessment to inform decision-making.

  • Contract Administration:

Review, draft, and negotiate federal contracts and cooperative agreements, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, policies, and procedures. Monitor contract performance and manage contract modifications, extensions, and renewals.

  • Compliance and Audit:

Ensure compliance with all relevant federal regulations and organizational policies, preparing for and assisting in federal audits and reviews. Implement corrective actions to address audit findings and recommendations, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of financial and contractual activities.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration:

Liaise with program managers, financial officers, and contracting officers to provide expert advice and support, collaborating with federal agencies, vendors, and other stakeholders to resolve financial and contractual issues.

  • Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities for improving financial and contractual processes, developing and implementing process enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Stay current with changes in federal regulations and best practices in financial and contract management.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal financial management and contract administration.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal financial regulations and contracting procedures.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Certification in Federal Contract Management (CFCM) or Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) preferred.
