Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Tampa, Florida

Compensation: Up to $110K base + bonus

The Kostelic Agency is proud to present an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant within a leading organization in the services sector.

Our client is recognized as one of the most rapidly expanding service firms in the country, demonstrating significant organic and inorganic growth. With an impressive revenue achievement of $2B in the previous fiscal year, they are on track to reach $2.5B in the current fiscal year.

This role demands a combination of leadership capabilities, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to overseeing accounting operations. You will play a pivotal role in streamlining financial reporting processes, ensuring adherence to GAAP standards, and spearheading the year-end audit procedures.

Reporting directly to the VP of Accounting, who has a distinguished history in public accounting, including experience as a Senior Manager at a Big 4 firm, you will receive valuable mentorship. The CFO, with a notable background in Investment Banking and Private Equity, will also provide guidance, fostering your professional growth. Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage all accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, inventory management, payroll, and month-end closing activities.
  • Enhance and ensure a 98% accuracy rate in financial reporting compliant with GAAP, preparing for audits.
  • Effectively manage cash flow with strong internal controls.
  • Supervise comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and general ledger reviews.
  • Lead the integration of acquisitions into the accounting framework.
  • Establish and monitor internal controls, collaborate with external auditors, and assist in financial planning.
  • Drive strategic initiatives and process enhancements, prepare analytical reports, and lead various special projects.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with public accounting experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting; a master's degree is a plus. Active CPA license is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting principles.

  • Familiarity with Sage Intacct and ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
