Position: Beauty Education Specialist
Are you a passionate Hair Stylist or Beauty Education Specialist eager to impart your expertise to the next generation of beauty professionals? Douglas J is on the lookout for seasoned beauty experts and Licensed Beauty Education Specialists to inspire and instruct our students during both daytime and evening classes. For those who are not yet licensed as Educators, this role offers training and support to meet state certification requirements as an Instructor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver assigned courses with support from the Education Coach and Program Team Lead.
  • Guide students in achieving their full potential in mastering the curriculum.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in the beauty industry.
  • Uphold professional standards of conduct and ethics relevant to the role.
  • Assess and provide timely feedback on student assignments.
  • Teach students about hygiene standards and oversee sanitation practices throughout the day.
  • Effectively manage the classroom environment and ensure adherence to school policies.
  • Address classroom management challenges with a constructive approach.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

  • At least two years of experience in the beauty industry.
  • Current State of Michigan Cosmetology license.
  • Familiarity with Aveda products, services, and curriculum is advantageous.
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to hold peers accountable.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, professional educational environment.
