Job Overview

Human Learning Systems is seeking a qualified Driver's Education Instructor to join our team at the Gerald R. Ford Job Corps Center in Grand Rapids, MI.

Job Summary:

The Driver's Education Instructor will provide instruction to students enrolled in Drivers Education, teaching them the skills and knowledge necessary to obtain a driver's license.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans to students in a classroom setting.
  • Use state-approved materials and resources to ensure students meet the required standards.
  • Assist students with suspended licenses to resolve the issue and ensure they meet the requirements for reinstatement.
  • Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment, promoting student motivation and engagement.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to help them achieve their goals.
  • Collaborate with academic and CTT instructors to develop and implement curriculum.
  • Utilize all available resources to support student learning and success.
  • Record and maintain accurate student data, including test scores, evaluations, and attendance.
  • Participate in student evaluation and performance assessments.
  • Provide regular feedback to students on their career success standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of one to two years related experience in education.
  • Valid State Driver's License and Teacher Certification in the state of employment.
