Position: Beauty Education Instructor
Are you a passionate Hair Stylist or Beauty Education Instructor eager to impart your expertise to the next generation of beauty professionals? Douglas J is on the lookout for seasoned beauty experts and Licensed Beauty Education Instructors to inspire and educate our students during both daytime and evening sessions. For those who are not yet licensed as educators, this role offers training and support to meet state certification requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver assigned courses under the guidance of the Education Coach and Program Team Lead.
  • Support students in achieving their maximum potential in mastering the curriculum.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and practices in the beauty industry.
  • Uphold professional standards of conduct and ethics relevant to the role.
  • Assess and provide timely feedback on student assignments.
  • Teach students about proper hygiene practices and oversee sanitation protocols throughout the day.
  • Effectively manage the classroom environment and ensure adherence to school policies.
  • Address classroom management challenges with a constructive approach.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

  • At least two years of experience in the beauty industry.
  • Valid State of Michigan Cosmetology license.
  • Familiarity with Aveda products, services, and curriculum is advantageous.
  • Proven leadership abilities and a capacity to hold peers accountable.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and professional educational environment.
