Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Developer Advocate to join our team at Descope. As a key member of our Developer Relations team, you will play a crucial role in understanding how developers use our product and driving awareness of our authentication services.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Advocate and drive awareness for Descope services in the developer community by understanding their goals, mission statements, and problems, and providing technical guidance, direction, and assistance through the integration journey.
  • Guide customers and prospects in deploying and implementing Descope into their applications, owning the implementation process for customers or prospects and assisting with the planning and design of the implementation project.
  • Interact with the community to understand and resolve challenges encountered in the integration journey, working with the product management and engineering teams to prioritize features based on community feedback.
  • Design and develop remote and in-person training sessions and events for new and existing developers, working with the marketing team to plan, promote, and deliver sessions to increase community awareness and expertise.
  • Create demos, guides, and other videos to use for events and web marketing, integrating the Descope authentication into different open-source systems and contributing the work to the project.
  • Manage and constantly improve developer communications channels, owning the conversations and ensuring Descope is responsive and addressing feedback on those channels.
  • Work closely with product management and marketing teams to launch new services, features, and enhancements effectively through the developer community.

**Requirements**

  • Extraordinary interpersonal skills and the ability to be vocal and communicate effectively, build rapport, and relate to others in both written and verbal forms.
  • 3+ years of working with customers, both enterprises and startups, while supporting their software implementation processes with a hands-on approach.
  • 3+ years of working on community programs in Developer Relations, Technical Community Management, or similar roles, including experience in working with engineering teams.
  • Experience in the authentication/authorization domains, understanding of AuthN and AuthZ concepts and knowledge of authentication methods and protocols.
  • Working experience in software development, proficiency in more than one programming language, including JavaScript, Golang, Python, and others.
  • Demonstrated writing and verbal communication skills.
