About the Role

Norstella is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge AI and machine learning solutions. As a Data Scientist at Norstella, you will be at the forefront of revolutionizing pharma intelligence and driving business growth with data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Product Partners: Work closely with product partners and other scientists to identify new opportunities to apply AI/ML to our content and products.
  • Conduct Research and Development: Conduct research and identify AI/ML algorithms and methods to solve specific business problems, and deliver these algorithms as microservices in collaboration with content and product engineering teams.
  • Contribute to the Common Data Science Platform: Contribute towards the development of our common data science platform.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Stay up-to-date with advances in the field and deliver periodic presentations to internal teams on these developments.
Requirements
  • 3+ Years of Experience: 3+ years of experience developing AI/ML applications and data-driven solutions.
  • Graduate Degree: Graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • Substantial Depth and Breadth in AI/ML: Substantial depth and breadth in NLP, Deep Learning, Generative AI, and other state-of-the-art AI/ML techniques.
  • Deep Understanding of CS Fundamentals: Deep understanding of CS fundamentals, computational complexity, and algorithm design.
  • Experience with Large-Scale Distributed Systems: Experience with building large-scale distributed systems in an agile environment and the ability to build quick prototypes.
  • Excellent Knowledge of Programming Languages: Excellent knowledge of high-level programming languages (Python, Java, or C++) and core data science libraries, including Pandas, NumPy, and other similar libraries.
  • Ability to Conduct Research and Develop Algorithmic Solutions: Ability to independently conduct research and develop appropriate algorithmic solutions to complex business problems.
  • Experience Mentoring Junior Team Members: Experience mentoring junior team members.
  • Excellent Problem-Solving and Communication Skills: Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
What We Offer
  • Competitive Salary: The expected base salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000.
  • Discretionary Bonus: In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
