We're seeking a highly skilled Communication Systems Specialist to join our team at Mercy. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in maintaining and developing our emergency communication systems.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and troubleshoot communication infrastructure for emergency responders, including Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Mobile CAD, NG-911 phone system, and other related systems.
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure all equipment is functioning properly and make recommendations for upgrades and improvements.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including technical drawings and schematics, to support system maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors to resolve technical issues and implement system upgrades.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users and other stakeholders.
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in IT, computer science, or communication systems, preferably in a large enterprise environment or emergency communication center.
- Trained and/or certified to configure and maintain Computer Aided Dispatch systems and related software.
- Strong knowledge of networking systems, including cellular access points and 911 system topology.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
- International Academy Emergency Dispatch Executive Certification.
- Avtec Certified Maintenance.
- Viper Certified Maintenance.
