Imperative Systems is a leading provider of technical security systems solutions, seeking an experienced Security Systems Technician to support installation and maintenance operations for Department of State facilities in High Threat/High Risk Environments. This position is based in the greater DC Metro Area, and successful candidates will need to reside or relocate to this area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reading, interpreting, and drawing electrical, electronic, and electromechanical schematics.
  • Reading and interpreting building plans (blueprints).
  • AC power distribution systems, motor-generators.
  • Motors, motor controls, disconnects, relays.
  • Low voltage DC electronic systems / electromechanical systems.
  • Use, repair, and/or calibration of electronic test equipment – meters, oscilloscopes.
  • Bench repair of electronic, electrical, and electromechanical equipment to the component level.
  • Mechanical and electromechanical locking systems – electronic strikes, locks.
  • Pedestrian and vehicular access control systems – door controls, vehicle barriers/arrest.
  • Closed-circuit television systems (CCTV) systems – monitors, cameras, switchers.
  • Intrusion Detection Systems – alarms, detectors, sensors.
  • Public Address Systems – emergency notification systems, intercoms.
Requirements
  • Up to 75% travel overseas on a temporary or rotational basis (from 90 up to 120 days in country) with regular R&R or intermittent work from the DC Metro Area.
  • Domestic travel may be required for training and program coordination.
  • Ability to work under extreme hot or cold weather conditions with exposure to dust or dirt.
  • Must be a US citizen with an active SECRET clearance at time of hire.
