Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Resident Services Director to join our team at Maplewood at Weston LLC. As a key member of our senior living community, you will be responsible for providing exceptional nursing services and care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Nursing Services: Deliver high-quality nursing care to residents, including resident teaching, wellness counseling, health promotion, disease prevention, and provision of care and services to residents with chronic and stable conditions.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure and maintain regulatory compliance with federal and state laws and regulations regarding assisted living/memory care and the regulations of the state's nursing commission.
  • Department Management: Facilitate the overall coordination and management of care and services for residents, and provide supervision of the Resident Services Department through the following:
    • Move-In Process: Conduct pre-move-in assessments, review of paperwork, and initial Service Plan Development.
    • Assessment and Service Plan: Identify needs for additional assessment, health monitoring, or other coordination of care needs, and coordinate residents' health care in collaboration with residents, families, and outside health care agencies.
    • Staff Training and Education: Coordinate and conduct continuing training and education on a regular basis, as identified through routine auditing.
    • Proper Documentation: Maintain accurate and proper documentation of resident care services.
    • Delegation: Provide RN and LPN delegation, in accordance with state regulations and Community policy.
    • Infection Control: Maintain compliance with Community policies on Immunizations, Infection Control, and Infectious Disease Management.
    • Move Out/Discontinuation of Services: Assist residents who no longer require services.
    • Quality Assurance: Complete routine auditing of all Resident Care systems, in accordance with Resident Care Services Review Schedule and all other associate QA tools.
  • Staffing and Budgeting: Responsible for monthly Resident Care Service staffing schedule and meeting monthly budget targets, monetary and labor hours.
  • Compliance and Safety: Follow emergency procedures and understand safety practices and procedures.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with supervisor and other staff.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Must be a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse with a valid MA license, and have experience and passion in working with seniors.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Must have a MA license in good standing, and be able to perform tasks which may be physically demanding such as pushing, bending, and lifting up to 60lbs.
  • Personal Qualities: Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers, and other staff members, and be in good physical and emotional health and free of communicable diseases.
