Job Title: Cardiac Device Specialist

Job Summary:
UC San Diego Health is seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Device Specialist to join our team. As a Cardiac Device Specialist, you will provide direct patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, working with the team to manage remote transmissions. You will be responsible for interrogating implantable cardiac devices, providing discharge teaching and instruction to patients with implanted cardiac devices, and collaborating with EP Providers, APPs, and EP Fellows to provide exceptional patient care for complex EP device patient populations.

Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care in inpatient and outpatient settings
• Manage remote transmissions
• Interrogate implantable cardiac devices
• Provide discharge teaching and instruction to patients with implanted cardiac devices
• Collaborate with EP Providers, APPs, and EP Fellows to provide exceptional patient care

Requirements:
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
• RN License issued by the State of California
• BLS/CPR and ACLS certification at time of hire with commitment to get ART within six (6) months of hire date
• At least five (5) years recent outpatient cardiology/EP RN experience
• Experience with cardiac rhythm management devices, including remote monitoring, device interrogations, and reprogramming

Preferred Qualifications:
• BSN
• CCRN certifications
• Charge nurse experience
