Job Title: Outside Sales

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Outside Sales professional to join our team at West Coast Fire & Integration a Climatec Company. As an Outside Sales representative, you will be responsible for selling integrated fire alarm systems and related low-voltage technology solutions to building owners, general contractors, electrical contractors, engineers, architects, and consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage long-term customer relationships with key building owners, general contractors, and architectural and engineering firms.
  • Prospect, qualify, and close new opportunities.
  • Demonstrate technical knowledge to create solutions that address the customer's project challenges.
  • Influence design and construction decisions with owners, contractors, and consultants.
  • Generate competitive, high-quality, and timely estimates, bids, proposals, and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Negotiate and close sales successfully.
  • Utilize sales tools effectively and manage the pipeline in company tools.
  • Collaborate with product partners, subcontractors, engineers, project managers, and support colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the integrated fire alarm systems industry.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry and understanding of the construction process and owner-direct negotiated process.
  • Successful experience selling traditional plan & spec bid and design-build projects to contractors and direct to owners.
  • Strong initiative and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong proposal development and writing skills.
  • Proven experience managing the development of complex project solutions, estimates, and proposals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the integrated fire alarm systems industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to sell integrated systems.
  • Proven track record of successfully closing large-scale projects.
  • Understanding of software integration via manufacturer software applications, APIs, and custom software development.
  • Experience with network and fire alarm system applications, telecom system applications, Emergency DAS - ERRCS, and related low-voltage systems.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Be able to lift and carry ladders, drawings, personal computers, material, etc.
  • Be able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Be able to spend significant time standing and walking on construction sites.
  • Be able to climb several flights of stairs or ladders throughout a typical day on a construction site.
  • Maintain a satisfactory driving record which, per Climatec's vehicle policy, allows the individual to drive on company business.
  • Be physically able to kneel, stoop, and crawl.
