Marukai Corp. is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team in the Customer Service Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries, and exceeding sales goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide premier customer service, including greeting customers and responding to questions
  • Engage in suggestive selling and other sales techniques to meet or exceed sales goals
  • Assist in returning shopping carts and baskets to designated areas
  • Report all irregular issues and problems to the Store Manager for solutions
  • Count opening and closing cash and other transactions for assigned register
  • Process purchases quickly and efficiently
  • Process returns and credits customers utilizing the Company's return policy procedures
  • Conduct transactions professionally
  • Work various shifts, days or nights as assigned by Store Manager in accordance with the Company's business needs
  • Organize and stock Customer Service display areas per store's layouts, planograms and standards
  • Set up and maintain the condition of the Customer Service Section according to company standards
  • Proactively support any promotional activity within the store and contribute to an effective working environment
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Must be 18 or older to use sharp knives, use ladders, scaffolds or their substitutes, substitutes above 6 feet in height, and to operate or assist in operating power-driven machinery or equipment
  • Must be able to use job-related equipment such as a stepping ladder and dollies
  • No experience required, but a minimum of 1-2 years of work experience in a similar work environment is preferred
  • Previous experience as a Retail Associate, Cashier, or Grocery Clerk is preferred
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds without aid
