We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medicare Member Advocate to join our team at Inland Empire Health Plan. As a key member of our Member Services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our Medicare members receive the highest level of service and support.
Key Responsibilities- Handle inbound calls from Medicare members, providing accurate and timely information about their benefits and services.
- Assist members with various processes, including eligibility status, primary care assignments, and health program education.
- Ensure accurate and compliant documentation, meeting regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to meet member needs and achieve key performance indicator goals.
- Participate in quality assurance reviews, one-on-one sessions, projects, and meetings to drive continuous improvement.
- Two years of HMO or managed care customer service experience, analyzing and solving customer problems.
- Knowledge of Medicare managed care and medical terminology is preferred.
- Understanding of and sensitivity to a multi-cultural community.
