About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medicare Member Advocate to join our team at Inland Empire Health Plan. As a key member of our Member Services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our Medicare members receive the highest level of service and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle inbound calls from Medicare members, providing accurate and timely information about their benefits and services.
  • Assist members with various processes, including eligibility status, primary care assignments, and health program education.
  • Ensure accurate and compliant documentation, meeting regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to meet member needs and achieve key performance indicator goals.
  • Participate in quality assurance reviews, one-on-one sessions, projects, and meetings to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Two years of HMO or managed care customer service experience, analyzing and solving customer problems.
  • Knowledge of Medicare managed care and medical terminology is preferred.
  • Understanding of and sensitivity to a multi-cultural community.
