Clinical Management Consultants is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Assistant Nurse Manager of Surgical Services to lead our busy department in the perioperative services unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the surgical services unit, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care and that our staff is supported and empowered to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the surgical services unit, including overseeing the care of patients undergoing surgical procedures
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and to promote a culture of safety and quality
  • Collaborate with the surgical services team to develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and reduce costs
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the nursing staff, including coaching, mentoring, and evaluating performance
  • Develop and manage the departmental budget, including forecasting and managing expenses
  • Ensure that all staff members are trained and competent in their roles and responsibilities
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a perioperative services unit, with at least 1 year in a leadership role
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards for perioperative services
