Surgical Services Associate Manager

The Surgical Services Associate Manager is a key member of the surgical services team, responsible for providing support and assistance to the Manager for the daily operations of surgical services, including the Operating Room, SPU/PACU, and Endoscopy. This role requires effective management of unit operations, including planning, resource allocation, and staff management.
Key Responsibilities:- Unit Operations Management: Develop and implement effective plans for unit operations, ensuring efficient deployment of resources and staff.
- Staff Management: Assist with recruitment, hiring, and performance appraisals, as well as counseling and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Collaboration and Communication: Maintain effective relationships with physicians, colleagues, and other stakeholders to achieve financial targets and ensure smooth operations.
- Patient Care and Compliance: Supervise and assist in the delivery of patient care, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and policies.
- Training and Development: Develop and implement orientation plans for new hires, as well as coordinate in-service training for staff.
- Experience: Minimum three years of RN clinical experience in OR and/or PACU, L&D, CVL, GI, with a minimum of two years of demonstrated staff leadership or advance nursing practice role.
- Education: High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
- License and Certification: Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided) and Basic Life Support certification.
