Environmental, Health and Safety Specialist

Job Overview

Daily Services LLC seeks a highly motivated Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our EH&S Department. Reporting to the Assistant General Manager, the EHS Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the company's compliance with all relevant EHS laws and regulations.

This role focuses on risk mitigation and supports the development and implementation of EHS policies and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • EHS Strategies: Develop, implement, and manage EHS strategies, policies, and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Audits and Inspections: Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit reports to regulatory agencies as required.
  • Incident Response: Respond to incidents, assist in investigations, and implement corrective actions.
  • Regulatory Updates: Stay informed about regulatory changes and update company policies accordingly.
  • EHS Training: Provide EHS training and support to employees.
  • Cross-Departmental Coordination: Assist in coordinating EH&S policies and procedures across departments.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or similar industry.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with environmental, health, and safety management systems such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001 is an advantage.
  • Auditing and Training Experience: Experience in compliance auditing and training is a plus.
  • Ergonomics Knowledge: Knowledge of ergonomics is an advantage.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of regulations including EPA, OSHA, etc.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • OSHA Certification: OSHA 10 or 30 Certification is a plus.

$75,000 per year
