Behavioral Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Behavioral Support Team Member to join our team at Wissahickon Charter School. As a key member of our support team, you will play a vital role in helping students achieve their full potential and develop the skills they need to succeed in life.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide individualized support to students with behavioral challenges, helping them to develop self-regulation skills and improve their overall behavior.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement behavior intervention plans that meet the unique needs of each student.
- Document student progress and provide regular updates to parents and teachers.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on best practices in behavioral support and intervention.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as special education or psychology.
- Experience working with students with behavioral challenges, preferably in an urban school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
- Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex behavioral challenges.
- Knowledge of and experience with behavioral intervention strategies and techniques.
- A competitive hourly rate of $17/hour.
