We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team at Actalent. As a Medical Technologist, you will be responsible for performing and interpreting laboratory tests in the Clinical Laboratory.
Key Responsibilities- Test Performance and Interpretation: Operate analytical test instruments to ensure that test results are medically reliable and evaluate patients' samples to determine their suitability for examination and/or referral to a reference laboratory.
- Investigation and Troubleshooting: Investigate and troubleshoot tests and/or system failures requiring judgment and discretion in the application and interpretation of procedures and results.
- Training and Development: Provide in-service training for employees on proper procedures and techniques, and train new employees and/or students, and certify their orientation.
- Inventory Management: Determine inventories of supplies and reagents to ensure adequate, economical levels are available.
- Quality Assurance: Develop systems and procedures to monitor and evaluate analytical test instruments, and review invoices from reference laboratories to ensure that billing are accurate.
- Departmental Support: Assist with department scheduling, and participate in statistical data gathering and projects to ensure that productivity and quality goals are achieved.
- Clinical Laboratory Experience: Intermediate level experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Certifications: Medical technologist certification, such as MT certification.
- Skills: Analytical skill, microbiology, hematology, chemistry, blood bank, and generalist skills.
