Technical Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Technician to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a Technical Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring that our technology infrastructure is running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support to users via phone, email, chat, and in-person
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including computer equipment, AV systems, and network issues
- Identify and escalate technical issues to higher-level technical support staff as needed
- Support, install, and upgrade new and existing computer equipment, including imaging
- Test and troubleshoot hardware and software issues
- Document technical issues and resolutions in our ticketing system
- High School Diploma or equivalent and two years of relevant experience
- Good communication skills and experience supporting Windows and Macintosh operating systems
- Experience providing general audio-visual systems support
- Associate degree or higher in a technology-related field
- Experience providing technical support in an academic environment
- Experience with imaging software, Microsoft Active Directory, and enterprise-level Apple product management software
- Experience creating technical documentation and using a ticketing system
We offer a competitive salary range of $43,431.25-$48,431.25 and a comprehensive benefits package.
