Senior Customer Support Specialist - Call Center

Position Overview

The Senior Customer Support Specialist is responsible for managing incoming customer inquiries and identifying the appropriate products, services, or resources that can assist the caller. This role emphasizes creating a positive customer experience through direct support or by connecting customers with the relevant departments for specialized assistance.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Respond to incoming customer calls, secure messages, and emails, ensuring proper verification of customer identity and needs.
  2. Provide assistance or transfer customers to the appropriate department for further support.
  3. Perform teller functions and ensure customer needs are met with professionalism and courtesy.
  4. Handle escalated calls, emails, and Live Chat sessions as necessary.
  5. Conduct training for new hires and ongoing training for existing staff, ensuring training materials are current.
  6. Support other branches and departments with transactions as needed, aiding in customer requests and merchant verifications.
  7. Monitor incoming communications to maintain service quality and accuracy among Call Center Representatives.
  8. Occasionally assume the role of manager on duty as required by scheduling needs.
  9. Participate in team efforts to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
  10. Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies, including safety protocols.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess a minimum of three years of relevant experience, with prior supervisory or managerial experience preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. The role demands a high level of trust and diplomacy, necessitating effective communication with customers, team members, and external vendors on sensitive matters.
