Position: Rehabilitative Movement Specialist (PT)

Employment Type: PRN/ Per Diem / Casual / As needed

Schedule: Monday to Friday day shifts with additional coverage required during evenings

Compensation: $59.00 per hour

Responsibilities

Position Summary

As a Rehabilitative Movement Specialist, you will assess all assigned patients, crafting, implementing, and adjusting treatment plans tailored to individual needs and physician recommendations. You will oversee the delivery of specialized therapy services, ensuring effective rehabilitation programs that facilitate a return to community engagement. Additionally, you will serve as an educator for patients, families, and colleagues.

Key Duties
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to establish relevant treatment objectives and plans.
  • Continuously assess patient progress, adapting treatment strategies to ensure timely advancements.
  • Formulate comprehensive goals aimed at optimizing patient recovery and reintegration into community activities.
  • Collaborate with other clinical services and community resources to coordinate treatment effectively.
  • Provide patient education, including the development of detailed home care programs for patients and their support systems.
  • Prepare for patient discharge by organizing necessary equipment and recommending ongoing therapeutic services.
  • Evaluate patients in real or simulated environments to facilitate their return to daily activities, making necessary adjustments as needed.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to Physical Therapy Assistants and support staff to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or completion within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Home Care Experience: Minimum of one year of clinical experience and a valid state Driver's License.
