We are seeking a Learning Area Manager to oversee a dedicated team of Coordinators and on-site trainers. Our mission is to establish a leading presence in the pet food and supply sector within the e-commerce landscape, emphasizing operational excellence and leadership growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide and mentor a team of Learning Coordinators and a substantial group of on-site trainers, providing ongoing performance evaluations.
- Assess training needs and identify gaps in the learning process in collaboration with Operations Teams.
- Develop tailored training and development programs aligned with organizational objectives, in partnership with the local Learning Operations Manager.
- Recruit and evaluate on-site trainers for effective process training.
- Conduct train-the-trainer workshops to enhance skills.
- Facilitate leadership training sessions.
- Lead learning sessions for various job roles and management as required.
- Monitor and document all training activities across shifts and departments.
- Maintain regular communication with Operations, HR, Recruiting, and other relevant teams.
- Implement remediation training as necessary.
- Stay informed about operational processes to continuously assess training effectiveness.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 1-2+ years of experience leading a team in a training, HR, or similar capacity.
- 1-2+ years of experience in an Operations or process improvement role.
- Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with fulfillment, distribution center, or warehouse operations.
- Strong observational and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules as required for a 7-day operation.
- Effective planning and task management skills, adaptable to competing priorities.
- Strong relationship-building skills across various levels and functions.
- Some travel may be required (less than 10%).
Compensation & Benefits:
The salary range for the Learning Area Manager position is $57,000 to $85,000. The specific salary offered will depend on factors such as relevant experience, education, and work location. This position also includes eligibility for a 401k plan and a new hire and annual equity grant.
We provide a variety of insurance options, including medical, vision, dental, life, disability, and more. Additional benefits include parental leave, family services, backup dependent care, flexible spending accounts, telemedicine, pet adoption reimbursement, and various discounts.
Non-exempt hourly employees accrue paid time off (PTO), while salaried-exempt employees enjoy unlimited PTO, subject to managerial approval. Non-exempt hourly employees in Fulfillment Centers and Customer Service may also qualify for additional unpaid time off (UTO). Employees receive six paid holidays annually and may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in accordance with applicable regulations.
