Job Title: Area Manager

At Maintenance Resources Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Manager to join our team. As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and creating an environment that exceeds their expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients
  • Liaise between customers and internal teams to ensure prompt and successful execution of services
  • Manage and develop client accounts to start and keep favorable positive relationships
  • Lead assigned site supervisors, subcontractors, and cleaning crews to meet operational needs
  • Communicate effectively with clients, line staff, and supervisors
  • Ensure a clean and orderly environment that exceeds expectations
  • Actively involved in property management functions, including day-to-day communication and activity
  • Train and support staff in implementing policies, procedures, and safety requirements
  • Proactively communicate with clients, predicting their needs and taking quick action to prevent complaints or solve them quickly
  • Manage equipment and supplies to follow facility budgets and productivity needs
  • Schedule special services and complete corresponding work orders to follow accounting department deadlines
  • Act as a team leader and confidently hire staff and/or release staff when necessary
  • Deeply involved in managing quality control at each facility, providing monthly on-site MRI QMR quality inspections in conjunction with the client site supervisor
  • Provide follow-up emails to clients after each meeting
  • Create a weekly work plan provided to the direct supervisor
  • Manage work orders, training needs, scheduling, and payroll reports
  • Work with company software and management tools, including MRI QMR, Paycom, Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Attend scheduled meetings and training sessions with Property Management department leads
  • Ability to substitute for absent supervisors and work quickly to fill absent site positions
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Requires satisfactory working knowledge of all major areas of building facility and janitorial services
  • Minimum of two years of earlier management and training experience
  • Minimum of two years of Janitorial experience, supervising crews, systems, and preventative programs
  • Two or more years of direct customer service
  • Professional and positive customer communication ability
  • Professional and neat appearance
  • Positive attitude and team player
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
  • Valid driver's license
  • Possess OSHA training certification and/or able to test for the certification
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug testing
  • Ability to travel by plane
