Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Estimating Coordinator to join our estimating department. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to our estimating team, ensuring the successful execution of bids from inception to submission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Report directly to the estimating team throughout the entire bidding process
  • Receive and organize all bidding documents sent from clients
  • Order and pick up all project drawings required for bid
  • Set up project-specific bid comparison documents and folders
  • Create formal invitations to bid packages for subcontractors
  • Ensure all subcontractors receive bid packages and confirm their intent to bid
  • Collect and distribute all RFIs and addendums issued during the bid process
  • Communicate award or non-award letters to subcontractors post-bid
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or higher
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe suite
  • Excellent communication skills with a professional phone demeanor
  • Ability to work within strict deadlines
  • Ability to take initiative and be resourceful when bidding in new areas
  • Strong time management and follow-up abilities
  • Availability to work extended hours during bids if required
Preferred Qualities
  • Knowledge of commercial construction industry
  • Familiarity with publications such as Blue Book
  • Familiarity with commercial construction estimating software such as i Square Foot/Grade Beam/Onscreen Takeoff
