Job Summary

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled GPU Design Verification Engineer to join our team at the Samsung Austin Research and Development Center (SARC) and Advanced Computing Lab (ACL). As a key member of our GPU Design Verification team, you will be responsible for driving the verification efforts of Samsung's advanced GPU design to deliver market-leading standards of quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive verification strategies and methodologies for Samsung's GPU architecture specifications and design requirements.

Lead the development of advanced verification environments and testbenches using SystemVerilog and UVM (Universal Verification Methodology).

Implement constrained random testing, coverage-driven verification, and assertion-based verification techniques to ensure thorough validation of the GPU functionality.

Create complex test scenarios and test cases to validate GPU features, performance, and functionality.

Collaborate with design and software teams to analyze failures and implement corrective actions.

Implement automation scripts and tools to streamline verification processes, improve efficiency, and reduce time-to-market.

Requirements

10+ years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or 8+ years of experience with a Master's Degree, or 6+ years of experience with a Ph.D.

10+ years of experience in GPU verification or related semiconductor role.

Proficiency in SystemVerilog, UVM, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl).

Strong understanding of GPU architecture, graphics pipelines, and parallel processing.

Experience with industry-standard verification tools and methodologies.

Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with general purpose Object Oriented Programming using C++/Java.

Experience with performance profiling and analysis.

Hardware modeling experience.

Knowledge of Graphics API: Vulcan, GLES, OpenCL.
