Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled GPU Design Engineer to join our Silicon Engineering group at Apple. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and manufacturing our next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient processors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead STA efforts by working with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure timing closure of highly complex GPU designs.
  • Drive the analysis of large volume data to identify and drive fixes, generating and providing ECOs for timing closure.
  • Collaborate with RTL, architecture, synthesis, clocking, DFT, physical design, and post-silicon engineering teams to ensure the best design practices are followed for a smooth timing convergence.
  • Work with CAD and vendors to constantly improve the flow and bring in groundbreaking features to the analysis flows.
  • Participate in analysis leading to the definition of next-generation products and drive tapeout activities by running a full suite of signoff checks to ensure high-quality silicon for manufacture.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in STA and timing closure.
  • Strong understanding of STA concepts, including cross-talk, OCV, noise, etc.
  • Experience with analysis of large volume data, identifying and driving fixes, generating and providing ECOs for timing closure.
  • Programming skills with TCL and Primetime APIs, with exposure to Python/Perl an added advantage.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work with others driving timing closure and influencing best design practices.
