Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

Cadrex Manufacturing Solutions is in search of a skilled CNC Machining Specialist who will leverage CAD/CAM software to program and operate various types of CNC machines, including turret presses and laser cutting equipment, to produce both metallic and non-metallic components.

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Translate general specifications into detailed programming using CAD/CAM software to create the necessary products.
  • Generate sketches and detailed specifications for parts or products to be manufactured.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production teams to troubleshoot fabrication or assembly challenges.
  • Analyze blueprints, sketches, and technical documents to ascertain dimensions, tolerances, and operational sequences.
  • Adjust machine controls to optimize machining parameters such as speed, feed rate, and cutting depth, or modify commands for computerized machine operations.
  • Select appropriate fixtures, cutting tools, and materials to meet production requirements.
  • Identify all necessary materials and tooling for subsequent manufacturing processes.
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to outline the processes required for part manufacturing and assembly.
  • Initiate and monitor machine operations to identify malfunctions or deviations from specifications, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Ensure the final products conform to established specifications.
  • May conduct trial runs to validate machine settings or programmed data in the absence of setup personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven ability to set up and operate CNC machines effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying issues.
  • Ability to gather and analyze technical information efficiently.
  • Physical capability to lift and/or move items weighing up to 25 pounds occasionally.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a one-year college program or two to four years of relevant experience or training.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This position is primarily onsite, with a standard Monday to Friday schedule.
  • Employees may encounter moving mechanical parts and vibrations, with occasional exposure to electrical hazards and varying noise levels.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Regularly required to stand, sit, and use hands for operation and communication.
  • Occasional requirements to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crawl.
  • Specific vision abilities necessary for this role include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
