POSITION SUMMARY

Cadrex Manufacturing Solutions is seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor to oversee, guide, and inspire a team of employees to fulfill the company's objectives related to quality, output, safety, and ongoing enhancement.

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Formulates and implements strategies to achieve or surpass departmental and organizational targets concerning quality, efficiency, and cost management. Monitors departmental performance metrics and visual indicators, concentrating on daily operational activities.
  • Strikes a balance between quality, productivity, cost, safety, and employee morale to secure favorable outcomes across all sectors. Actively seeks opportunities for improvement and communicates ideas and information effectively in both verbal and written formats.
  • Ensures team members comply with schedules and customer service standards. Collaborates with Quality Assurance to guarantee that products meet high-quality specifications.
  • Identifies, evaluates, and addresses issues such as bottlenecks, product defect rates, safety risks, and equipment malfunctions.
  • Mentors, motivates, and instructs Lead and Set Up personnel on quality benchmarks, machine operations, essential documentation, and employee relations.
  • Provides on-the-job training for new hires as necessary and collaborates closely with floor Leads and Set Up staff.
  • Oversees departmental operations by fostering effective employee relations; conducting interviews, hiring, and training staff; planning, assigning, and directing tasks; evaluating performance; recognizing and addressing issues; coaching and nurturing talent.
  • Ensures adequate inventory levels are maintained to satisfy daily production and assembly requirements.
  • Prioritizes departmental tasks and may develop production schedules to align with departmental needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a production supervisor in a manufacturing setting, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting safety regulations, operational and maintenance guidelines, and procedural documentation.
  • Ability to comprehend blueprints and produce routine reports and correspondence.
  • Competent in basic arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, inventory, and manufacturing software.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This position typically involves exposure to moving mechanical components and vibrations. There may be occasional exposure to electrical hazards. The noise level in the work environment is generally moderate but can be loud at times.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, and communicate effectively. Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision capabilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
