Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Engineer to join our team at Apex Systems. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our lab equipment and field sensors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on lab equipment, including liquid handlers, centrifuges, and automation platforms.
  • Field Sensor Management: Manage and maintain field sensors, including IRT sensors, Sentek sensors, and weather stations.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct seasonal preparation work, including annual preventive maintenance, repairs, and improvements.
  • Equipment Calibration: Ensure proper setup, calibration, operation, and maintenance of all equipment, machines, and sensors.
  • Inventory Management: Estimate labor and equipment costs and maintain accurate maintenance inventories and repair logs.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with engineers, production leaders, and other support team members for continuous improvement and cross-training.
Requirements
  • Education: A four-year engineering degree in Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechanical, or a related field, or a two-year technical or associate degree in Maintenance, Agriculture, Manufacturing, Electrical, or a related field with 3+ years of experience.
  • Experience: Experience working on lab automation platforms and knowledge of the operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
