Company Overview:

Blue Signal Search is a leading provider of engineering, geospatial, and land development solutions, catering to both public and private sectors. We are currently seeking a Licensed Land Surveyor to execute land surveys that support a variety of land development initiatives, including residential projects and infrastructure enhancements.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive surveying tasks, such as topographic surveys, construction surveys, land development surveys, metes and bounds surveys, and land title surveys.
  • Oversee, participate in, and ensure quality control of field survey operations.
  • Perform public records research relevant to land surveys.
  • Draft and prepare easement descriptions, easement plats, and legal descriptions associated with land surveys.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to identify and resolve any technical, scheduling, or financial challenges that may arise.
  • Assist in estimating costs and timelines to develop thorough engineering service proposals.
  • Engage effectively with clients on technical issues as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in land surveying.
  • Active and valid Land Surveyor License in the state of Iowa.
  • Proven experience in operating computer and technical analysis equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and engineering plans.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, CAD, and other engineering automation tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
