Lead Banquet Team in the Serving of Guests

At the Kimpton Brice Hotel, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Banquet Captain to lead our banquet team in the serving of guests during special events. As a Banquet Captain, you will be responsible for ensuring a positive guest experience by coordinating with the banquet staff, managing event logistics, and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with the banquet staff to ensure that all event details are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Manage event logistics, including setup, breakdown, and inventory management.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work closely with the catering team to ensure that all menu items are prepared and presented to the highest standards.
  • Ensure that all public areas are clean and well-maintained, and that all equipment is in good working order.
  • Recap all banquet checks at the end of each day and turn them in to Night Audit.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Hotel experience preferred.
  • Superior communication skills to provide information and associated services to hotel management and guests.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations, including marketing plans, security and safety programs, personnel and labor relations, preparation of business plans, repairs, maintenance, budget forecasting, quality assurance programs, hospitality law, and long-range planning.
  • Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public, etc.
