Job Description

CAMBA is a community of staff, volunteers, clients, donors, neighbors, and partners who work together to build an inclusive New York City. We take a comprehensive approach by offering more than 180 integrated programs in education, youth development, family support, job training, employment support services, health, housing, and legal services. We reach more than 73,000 individuals and families, including almost 13,000 youth. CAMBA serves a diverse cross-section of New Yorkers from new mothers in Brownsville to job seekers in the Rockaways. Our clients are often homeless, mentally ill, and substance-abusing individuals who require comprehensive services to stabilize their condition and transition into permanent and/or supported housing.

The Client Care Coordinator will assist clients in completing intake applications, screenings, and forms. They will create and maintain client files, conduct initial risk assessments, and prepare biopsychosocial evaluations. The Coordinator will provide instant response services, assist in preparing Independent Living Plans, and refer clients to community resources. They will also follow up with clients and referral organizations, consult with stakeholders, and advocate on behalf of clients. The Coordinator will facilitate case conferences, provide group counseling sessions, and document client contact.

Minimum Education/Experience Required:

  • Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) required within one year of date of hire.

Other Requirements:

  • Must obtain State Central Registry (SCR) clearance, The Register of Substantiated Category One Cases of Abuse or Neglect aka Staff Exclusion List (SEL) clearance, and Criminal history information checks via fingerprinting with New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services prior to start of employment.

Compensation: $58,000 - $62,000 annually
