Job Summary

This position is a critical role within the VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION, requiring a skilled Clinical Psychologist to coordinate services for patients experiencing intimate partner violence and substance abuse disorders. The successful candidate will provide specialized psychological services, including intake evaluation, treatment planning, diagnostic assessments, psychotherapy, and patient education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive psychological services to patients experiencing intimate partner violence and substance abuse disorders.
  • Conduct intake evaluations, treatment planning, and diagnostic assessments to identify patient needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patient needs.
  • Provide psychotherapy and patient education to promote healthy relationships and coping skills.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Participate in ongoing program evaluation and quality improvement initiatives to enhance program effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in psychology from an accredited graduate program.
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice psychology at the doctoral level.
  • At least one year of experience as a professional psychologist, with experience in clinical psychology and intimate partner violence.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations, including veterans and their families.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based treatments for intimate partner violence and substance abuse disorders.
  • Experience with program evaluation and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to collect and analyze data to inform program decisions.
