Job Summary

The University of New Mexico Department of Pediatrics is seeking an experienced clinician in Critical Care to serve as Division Chief for Pediatric Critical Care. The successful candidate will oversee clinical service, patient care, research and scholarship, education and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee clinical service and patient care in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
  • Lead research and scholarship initiatives in Pediatric Critical Care
  • Develop and implement education and mentorship programs for faculty and residents
  • Collaborate with departmental leadership to advance the mission of the Department of Pediatrics
Requirements
  • Board certification in Pediatric Critical Care
  • 10+ years of clinical experience in Pediatric Critical Care
  • Experience with pediatric and neonatal ECMO
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with professional education, teaching, and research
  • Experience with care of pediatric cardiothoracic surgery and trauma patients
  • Evidence of leadership roles in academic medicine
  • Experience mentoring junior faculty
