Division Chief of Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Pulmonologist to serve as Division Chief at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center. The successful candidate will have a proven record of leadership, clinical excellence, patient care, education, and mentorship to develop the Division in all its mission areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Pediatric Pulmonary Division in clinical, teaching, and research activities
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and outcomes
  • Mentor junior faculty and staff
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to advance the Division's mission
  • Contribute to the development of the Department of Pediatrics
Requirements:
  • Board certification in Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine
  • Experience in medical leadership and management
  • Five years of clinical experience in Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine
  • Strong track record of research, education, and community service
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bronchoscopy experience
  • Experience with state-wide outreach programs
  • Evidence of leadership roles in academic medicine
  • Experience mentoring junior faculty
  • Experience in graduate and undergraduate medical education
  • Experience with research and quality improvement
