Technical Design Specialist for Women's Sportswear

Job Summary
The Technical Designer, C&S Knits, is a critical role within the DKNY Sportswear team. As a key member of the Technical Design team, you will be responsible for ensuring the design vision is translated into a well-constructed and manufacturable garment that meets brand esthetic and design integrity standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the product lifecycle from Showroom sample through pre-production fit approval, ensuring timely execution and quality standards.
- Oversee pre-production samples development, guaranteeing they meet design specifications and quality expectations.
- Develop comprehensive technical packages, including full graded specifications, and determine necessary corrections to achieve the desired fit, silhouette, and style.
- Lead live fit sessions to evaluate and refine fit, construction, and quality, executing fit comments in a timely manner to align with production timelines and objectives.
- Partner successfully with Product Development, Design, and Production teams to ensure fit and product development processes stay aligned with production and action timelines.
Requirements
- 8+ years of Technical Design experience in a SKU intensive environment
- College degree or equivalent professional work experience
- Proven expertise in apparel fitting, specs, and patterns
- Working knowledge of PLM, Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Strong project management and multi-tasking skills with critical attention to detail
