Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Designer to join our Women's Design team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for maintaining and executing design aesthetics through consistent fit and construction, aligning to our customers' needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and execute design aesthetics through consistent fit and construction, aligning to our customers' needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners and vendors to translate design concepts into specifications for costing and first prototypes.
  • Provide direction to global sourcing teams to expand vendor capabilities and troubleshoot fit issues, as needed.
  • Ensure physical and digital samples comply with brand standards throughout the product creation process.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance team to identify and implement Gap's best practices.
Requirements
  • Advanced understanding and practical application of garment construction, patternmaking, alterations, and grading.
  • Expertise in Fit, Construction, and Quality; strong understanding of the brand and customer.
  • Effective use of PLM software or Tech Pack Management system.
  • Ability to assess complex situations and analyze data to recommend solutions.
  • Natural problem-solver who inspires a solution-centric approach in their team.
