Position Overview

The Sanitation Specialist will maintain the cleanliness and organization of all areas within the Blake Street House, ensuring a welcoming environment for all members. This role includes managing laundry tasks and addressing the needs of our members effectively. The ideal candidate should be available for afternoon and evening shifts during the weekdays.

Compensation: $18.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute daily cleaning tasks and adhere to standard operating procedures to ensure all assigned areas are impeccably maintained.
  • Report any damages, maintenance concerns, and lost items to a supervisor promptly.
  • Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing.
  • Dust and polish all furniture, decor, and light fixtures.
  • Ensure glass surfaces are clean and free of smudges.
  • Manage laundry tasks including sorting, washing, loading, unloading, ironing, and pressing linens.
  • Utilize cleaning equipment and supplies properly, ensuring safety data sheets are accessible and cleaning chemicals are securely stored.
  • Anticipate and fulfill members' needs to ensure seamless service throughout the Blake Street House.
  • Support event coordination and execution as needed.
  • Assist club members with requests and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Stay informed about all products, services, and events within the House.
  • Demonstrate self-management by adhering to attendance policies, clocking in/out accurately, following the dress code, and proactively completing duties while adhering to company policies.
Qualifications:
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Availability to work Sunday through Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
  • Preferred experience of at least 2 years in a commercial cleaning role.
  • Flexibility to work various hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Dependable, responsible, and punctual.
  • Ability to understand and follow both verbal and written instructions, with effective communication skills.
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance.
  • Capability to maneuver a fully loaded housekeeping cart weighing up to 50 lbs throughout the workday.
  • Physical ability to bend and get on and off the floor multiple times daily.
