Our mission is to inspire students through innovative learning experiences that challenge their critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

We are currently seeking part-time Advanced Physics Educators to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to teach our Intro to Mechanics course to a select group of motivated middle-school students. Additionally, there may be opportunities to instruct math classes for grades 2-12 based on availability.

As an integral member of our educational community, you will play a crucial role in fostering student success. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a collaborative, student-centered environment and are passionate about making a significant impact on students' understanding of physics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Occasionally substitute for other classes when required.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field, preferably in physics.
  • While a formal teaching credential is not mandatory, prior experience working with students in grades 2-12 is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge in math, physics, and/or engineering, with the ability to guide students through advanced concepts requiring critical thinking.
  • Capability to facilitate hands-on activities and enforce safety protocols in a laboratory setting.
  • Experience in conducting laboratory activities and utilizing everyday materials is preferred.
  • Proven ability to motivate and challenge advanced learners.

Compensation and Benefits:

The hourly rate for this position is competitive, reflecting the flexible work schedule, including preparation time and class duration. Benefits include:

  • Paid Sick Leave
  • 401K retirement plan with company matching
  • Employee discounts on AoPS Academy classes and subscriptions
